Windsor Lawyer Irina Rosca Joins Task for Legal Reform Through Volunteer Work

Greg Monforton & Partners’ associate lawyer Irina E. Rosca has joined a task force established by The Advocate Society’s Standing Committee on Advocacy & Practice (SCAP). This initiative demonstrates our firm’s ongoing commitment to shaping fair compensation practices for injured victims in Ontario. The task force will provide critical feedback to the Discount Rate Subcommittee of the Ontario Civil Rules Committee.

The subcommittee’s work directly impacts how future damages are calculated in personal injury cases, reviewing crucial sections of the Rules of Civil Procedure, specifically rules 53:09 and 53.10, that determine compensation for accident victims. These reviews, conducted every four years, ensure that damage calculations and interest rates remain fair and current with economic conditions.

Ms. Rosca’s participation in this task force continues our firm’s tradition of advocating for injured clients beyond the courtroom. Her volunteer work with this prestigious committee underscores Greg Monforton & Partners’ dedication to protecting the rights of Windsor-Essex accident victims while contributing to the advancement of personal injury law in Ontario.
