One Person Fatally Injured in Chatham Kent Head-on Collision

ambulance in intersection, lights on at nightA man from Tilbury was fatally injured in a two-vehicle head-on collision that happened Monday. The incident occurred on Queens Line, between Wheeler Line and Davidson Road near Tilbury.

Chatham-Kent police, who responded to the scene at about 5:06 p.m., say one of the vehicles involved was operated by a male driver from Chatham. The driver from Tilbury operated the other vehicle and confirmed deceased at the scene. CTV News reported that the Chatham driver was taken to hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

According to a news report, no details about the drivers involved are being released at this time. The traffic management unit is investigating the incident due to the severity of the crash.
