Greg Monforton & Partners Supports Sacks for Santa to Aid Homeless Youth

two hands holding a bright light to illustrate giving backGreg Monforton and Partners is excited that the holiday season is approaching, along with another opportunity to give back to the community.

For the sixth year in a row, our firm is proud to participate in Sacks for Santa, an important holiday outreach that helps youth in need.

What Is Sacks for Santa?

Sacks for Santa is a charity organisation that was founded in 2019 by Francesca Provenzano, an associate lawyer at our firm. Provenzano began this project after learning that approximately 20 percent of Canada’s homeless population are teens and young adults between the ages of 13 and 24 years.

Provenzano says, “Community service is a passion of mine, and giving back is the purpose of the holiday season. I started Sacks for Santa to remind youth in need that they are not alone during the holidays.”

Who Benefits From Sacks for Santa?

Each year, Provenzano gathers hygiene products, non-perishable snacks and winter gear and puts them into backpacks. The backpacks get distributed to homeless youth through the Windsor Youth Centre and The Bridge in Leamington.
