A five-vehicle accident Wednesday morning on Highway 3 near Division Road sent two people to hospital, including one person with serious injuries, according to Essex County OPP.
After the crash, Highway 3 was closed between County Road 27 and County Road 29 so police could investigate the scene.
Kingsville firefighters had to spray one of the vehicles with fire-retardant foam. Five motorists were involved in the 8 a.m. crash.
In a separate crash on Highway 3 the same morning, two vehicles collided near Belle River Road. People involved in that crash suffered minor injuries.
