On Monday, Jaclyn Habas will be hosting a New Lawyers Division (NLD) roundtable at the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association (OTLA). The topic for this discussion is entitled, “Clarifying the Law on the Cost of Documentary Production.” The NLD is a litigation section within the OTLA, and Jaclyn is the NLD’s current vice chair.
You can join Jaclyn as she hosts the discussion panel on Monday, December 11, 2023, from 12:30 -1:30 p.m. The panel will include your NLD section chairs, as well as Michael Giordano and Christian Genova,
Discussion points for this roundtable will include:
- Relevancy of requested documents
- Scope of productions
- The cost involved in producing relevant documents pre-discovery
- Post-Endale motions and judicial discretion on cost awards
- Best practices moving forward
