The Laurel County Sheriff Department has just released information about a Windsor woman that was killed after her vehicle drove hit a patch of ice and slid into the path of a southbound tractor trailer on I-75 in Kentucky on Monday morning.
After hitting the ice, Police believe that the vehicle spun out of control, causing it to cross paths with the semi trailer.
Despite sitting in the back of the vehicle, Ms Svetlana Frkovic, the force of the accident was sufficient enough for her to sustain significant injuries, which claimed her life after being transported to Kentucky Chandler Hospital.
The two other occupants in the vehicle, Mr Slavko Frkovicthe driver and the front seat passenger Ms Sanja Frkovic both suffered serious personal injuries.
While the two occupants in the tractor trailer escaped injury, Police and local authorities are still investigating the incident, which occurred on I-75, approximately 3 kilometers south of London, KY.
