A serious head-on collision on Manning Road in Tecumseh on Tuesday afternoon resulted in three people being hospitalized. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a 47-year-old for careless driving in relation to the crash.
The accident occurred when a southbound vehicle on Manning Road veered into the northbound lane, colliding head-on with another motor vehicle. The collision was south of Baseline Road, according to the OPP.
Emergency services promptly responded to the scene, where three individuals involved in the crash were transported to the hospital. The OPP reported that the injuries sustained were non-life-threatening.
This incident marked the second head-on collision that OPP officers responded to on Tuesday. There was another crash on County Road 22, east of Manning Road. This earlier accident led to the closure of County Road 22 for a significant period, disrupting traffic in the area.
The OPP is actively investigating both incidents and has requested the public’s assistance. If you have information about the crashes, contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Individuals who wish to provide information anonymously can do so by reaching out to Crime Stoppers (1-800-222-8477).
