During the collision, the vehicle struck 73-year-old Ruzena “Rose” Noniewicz, causing fatal injuries. Her daughter-in-law, Amber, also sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash.
Neither the driver nor the sole passenger of the minivan suffered severe injuries.
Greg Monforton: Personal Injury Solicitor for the Victim’s Family
The family has retained personal injury solicitor Greg Monforton, our firm’s founding partner, to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.
Monforton says the firm has not yet spoken with police and are awaiting the results of that investigation.
In a recent press release, Monforton gave the following statement, “This is an unspeakable tragedy The family is in shock and are devastated. While the police investigation continues, our firm will also work to uncover all facts so the family can know why this happened and how something like this can be prevented in future”.
Investigating the Cause of the Windsor Home Crash
Monforton’s investigation into the cause of the fatal Winsor home crash has identified concerning patterns in the area around the Riviera Drive property. In two prior incidents, vehicles caused damage to the property’s front lawn. These incidents occurred despite the presence of a city sanctioned “Please Slow Down” sign.
Monforton says, “It’s part of our responsibilities to determine how this was allowed to continue.”
Additional questions Monforton will seek answers to as the firm examines evidence and investigates events leading up to the crash:
- What was the state of the driver at the time of the crash – was she under the influence of a substance?
- Did the driver suffer a medical emergency?
- How fast was the driver traveling when she lost control?
- Did the vehicle have a mechanical defect that caused the driver to lose control?
- Why have no speed bumps been installed in the area?
The solicitor emphasises the importance of thorough evidence gathering and analysis. Monforton awaits the police’s crash reconstruction and forensic findings whilst seeking additional witness accounts. His measured approach examines multiple factors, including vehicle speed capabilities on residential streets and other contributing circumstances.
Monforton & Partners Seeking Witnesses to the Crash
On behalf of the victim’s family, Monforton is asking witnesses to come forward. Gathering details as soon after the crash as possible is important. Memories fade quickly, which means critical details get forgotten and witnesses move on.
