Motorcycle Crash Shuts Down Wyandotte St. and Pierre Ave. Junction for Hours

On Monday afternoon, a motorcycle crash led to the temporary closure of the junction at Wyandotte Street East and Pierre Avenue. Windsor police promptly closed the area to investigate the collision.

The closure affected Wyandotte Street East between Marion and Hall Avenues, with no traffic allowed on Pierre Avenue. Approximately three hours later, the area was reopened to traffic.

Officers reported that a motorcyclist travelling north on Pierre Avenue collided with the passenger side of an SUV heading east on Wyandotte Street East. The motorcyclist left the scene of the accident but was quickly found by police in a nearby alley. After his arrest, he was taken to the hospital.
