Motorcyclist Dies in Windsor Crash; Impaired Driver Charged

The motorcyclist was travelling northbound on Lauzon Parkway and carrying a female passenger. The collision occurred when the driver of a pickup truck attempted to turn going eastbound at the intersection of Lauzon Line and Lauzon Parkway.

As a result of the crash with the pickup truck, the 39-year-old motorcyclist was critically injured. Although he was taken to hospital, he later died of his injuries.

The 35-year-old female passenger riding with the motorcyclist was also taken to hospital, but her injuries were non-life-threatening.

The Impaired Driver Faces Charges

According to a news report, Windsor police, who responded to the incident, arrested the pickup truck driver. Once at the police station, police say the driver failed a breath test and is now facing multiple charges. The most serious charges include impaired operation of a conveyance causing death and impaired operation of a conveyance causing bodily harm.

The investigation is still underway.
