Ontario provincial police in Lambton are continuing an investigation of a crash that happened on Tuesday morning near Alvinston. The crash involved a transport truck and passenger vehicle, sending six people to hospital.
According to Sarnia News Today, the crash occurred at the corner of Courtright Line and Inwood Road at about 11 a.m. on Tuesday.
Initially, Lambton OPP stated that six people had been transported to hospital with injuries that were believed to be non-life-threatening. However, in a subsequent tweet issued at approximately 12:43 p.m., one of the individuals injured in the crash has reportedly died.
The name of the deceased has not been released, pending notification of that person’s next of kin.
The traffic area around Courtright Line and Inwood Road was closed for several hours while the OPP continued their investigation.
At this time, no charges have been laid.
