Pedestrians Struck by Vehicle in Downtown Windsor

downtown accident scene at nightTwo pedestrians were struck by a vehicle in downtown Windsor late Friday night. One man is in critical condition, while the other suffered minor injuries. Both were rushed to the hospital following the collision.

The crash happened on Ouellette Avenue between Shepherd and Hanna streets just before 10 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the crash as a Windsor police accident reconstruction unit investigated the scene. The area around the accident was closed for several hours as police investigated.

Charges are pending against the driver of the car.
