Roads were not the only dangerous place over the weekend, as two people suffered injuries in a personal watercraft explosion. This happened Sunday afternoon on Catfish Creek channel. The watercraft lit up after floating away from the dock and the occupants were thrown off.
The victims are a 48-year-old from Cambridge and a 32-year-old from Ruthven. Their injuries were severe, but fortunately they were not life-threatening.
A hospital in St. Thomas is treating the 32-year-old while a trauma unit treated the 48-year-old.
