The Essex Community Policing Committee has donated $10,000 to the Windsor-Essex Ronald McDonald House.
Greg Monforton Case Manager Shari Freeman, along with others on the committee, raised the funds by collecting donations throughout the communities of Essex and Harrow. The funds will help support the organization’s daily operations.
The Ronald McDonald House Canada provides families of sick children with a comfortable place to stay while their child is being treated at a nearby hospital. The Windsor house is the first Canadian House-Within-A-Hospital in Canada.
This unique location provides families with spacious rooms and suites within Windsor Regional Hospital so that the families can be close to their children who are undergoing treatment.
The staff at Greg Monforton & Partners has a long history of giving back to our community through involvement in a number of valuable community organizations.
We commend Shari on her achievements with the Essex Community Policing Committee, which comprises of two Ontario Provincial Police officers and eight civilian volunteers who assist the police in providing quality service and promoting public education and awareness within the community.
Congratulations, Shari on a successful fundraiser!
