In a recent notice released by Environment Canada, a snowfall warning has been issued for Windsor, Essex County and Chatham-Kent, with 15 to 20 centimetres being forecast by Sunday morning, including strong winds and blustery conditions expected to develop ahead of the system.
A very large, wet weather system coming in from the southern U.S states has been credited with bringing these conditions to the region just before Christmas, while Environment Canada’s senior climatologist Mr Dave Phillips noting that “This very well might be the snow that gives you a white Christmas”.
With Windsor Police already having responded to more than a dozen, mostly minor collisions, at the law offices of Greg Monforton and Partners, we urge drivers and pedestrians alike to be careful in these conditions and exercise all due care while driving and walking in this snowstorm.
